Make Sorbet When Handed Lemons

It seems in the last 4 months we have been asked to adjust more than all other times in our lives. Moving workouts outdoors seems so simple in contrast to other things we have been forced to do (stay home, workout in garage, wear a mask) none of these are bad things just using them as examples. I don’t mind wearing a mask and if it means others feel safer around me.

By staying open we are not trying to make a political statement or sticking it to the man, we are just trying to survive while delivering a highly needed service to our community, health and fitness. Keeping people safe is our priority and making people safer (increasing their health through fitness) is our goal.

Adjustments are part of life, we do it every day and countless times throughout our lives. We all have choices we can make. I can decide to close the gym and go back to zoom classes and at home workouts and no one wants that. You all have a choice to not come to the gym. But where will that get you? Depressed, overweight, overeating, increased anxiety and possibly taking pills to help with these factors.

Leaving us to workout outside underneath a tent, with a breeze coming through to cool us off, and a little extra Vitamin D. Not a huge price to pay to stay strong and healthy, again there are worst things that have been asked of us. Enjoy the change, change is good. It helps us grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically.

We all heard the phrase when life gives you lemons make lemonade right? Well I like to see this situation as, when life gives you lemons don’t just make lemonade, go above and beyond and make good ass sorbet!
