I am devoted to spreading the benefits of physical fitness and superb nutrition to everyone that I encounter. Being someone that doesn’t settle for mediocrity, I have enhanced my training regimen through Olympic weightlifting, competitive swimming, and cycling. All have contributed to my love and success in CrossFit and the community we serve. Physical training isn’t enough though; therefore I am currently pursuing my BS in Nutrition and Dietetics. We as coaches owe more to our members than just a WOD; we owe them a  sounder alternative and a superior path to life.

Dedicated to the practice, sharing and belief in the foundations of CrossFit, and the community of devoted individuals connected by the pursuit of physical excellence. Cedric began coaching because he overwhelmingly believes in the life-changing benefits of functional fitness. It is his passion to inspire individuals to make long-term lifestyle changes, and he has found that CrossFit scalable intensity and commitment to functional movement allow him to do this with unparalleled results. He strongly believes CrossFit is the perfect program for individuals of all ages and abilities. In addition to the physiological benefits, Cedric strongly believes that the psychological aspect of sport and fitness training is the key to long term success in any program. He strives to inspire a positive training environment to help clients overcome self-doubt or perceived limitations to achieve their full potential.

I received my Crossfit Level 1 Certificate on June 2015 but my journey with Crossfit began in 2011. After a few attempts with a friend at a Global gym prior to Crossfit, I believed the “gym life” wasn’t a priority. High blood pressure, family history of heart disease and diabetes caused me to reconsider and after my first Crossfit workout I was hooked. “I knew it was a huge gap in my life”. Not only did my health turn around, but I felt stronger mentally and physically. “It’s all about community and one of the biggest attractions is the motivation from other people and rallying around each other to see everyone finish their workout!”

Johnny is a long time Crossfitter, endurance runner and obstacle course racer who passionately believes functional fitness is key to a positive and healthy lifestyle. Johnny was introduced to CrossFit in 2010 by his brother Cedric Fierro when Johnny’s doctor told him that he was morbidly obese, with blood pressure/cholesterol through the roof, and wasn’t going to live to see his grandchildren if he continued on his current path. Johnny will tell you that since he started CrossFit he hasn’t felt more alive both physically and mentally. Before coming to CrossFit Turnbull, Johnny trained with Kelly Starrett and Diane Fu of San Francisco CrossFit, Zach Forrest of CrossFit Max Effort (Las Vegas), CrossFit NOLA (Louisiana), and CrossFit EADO (Houston, TX). Johnny brings a melting pot of knowledge from some elite coaching minds and is passing it on to the athletes here at CrossFit Turnbull. Johnny values the motivating and supportive community our facility revolves around and hopes more are drawn to its welcoming community. He enjoys helping clients of all fitness backgrounds realize their true athletic potential. He desires to show others how to be happier, healthier and stronger through a CrossFit program emphasizing safe and efficient functional movements. He plans on continuing his coaching education so that he may continue to inspire others to create positive change in their lives and in the lives of those around them.

Johnny Fierro

Andrew had always had a fitness lifestyle that started when I was young. I earned a scholarship to play baseball at Kansas State University, where I earned All Big 12 honors my two years there. This only left me a burning desire to continuously push myself to my limit, both physically and cerebrally. My desire evolved into a triathlon, I annually participate in the Los Angeles Triathlon and Vineman, which is a Half Iron-man distance. I love working with up and coming athletes who want to perform at the next level.
